“We are excited to have this event at the historic New York Athletic Club,” NPSL Chairman Joe Barone commented. “At this AGM we will celebrate the successes of the 2014 season and look forward to an even better 2015 season. Our owners, players, and supporters will certainly benefit from the new initiatives our committees are working on. Each will help us grow and stabilize the league.”
All member clubs will be in attendance and each will help develop a vision and strategy for the 2015 NPSL season. The three-day event will include informational presentations, business meetings, and voting on the budget, Board of Directors, and operational model.
League sponsors Mitre, PUMA, Staples, Pabian Law, and Global Scarves will be present to deliver information on their products and services. Seminars on public relations, marketing, social media, and operations will be delivered by league staff and contractors.
The Board of Directors will meet on Thursday with meetings for regions, conferences, and committees continuing on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Important votes on management strategy will take place in addition to discussions about expansion and conference alignment. New teams, which include the previously announced FC Wichita (Wichita, KS) and FXBG FC (Fredericksburg, VA), will take part in breakout sessions.
Further details, including expansion information, will be released at a later date.

ABOUT THE NEW YORK ATHLETIC CLUB
Founded in 1868, the New York Athletic Club’s founding premise was to bring structure to a sporting environment that was lacking in organization and uniformity of measurement. Quickly, the NYAC organized the first US championships in boxing, swimming, wrestling and track & field. Today, the New York City clubhouse stands in tribute to an unmatched athletic history and the NYAC’s ongoing commitment to the pursuit of sporting excellence, while also providing unmatched social opportunities for its members. Among the NYAC’s members have been some of the most accomplished individuals in the worlds of sport, business and the arts. New York Athletic Club athletes have won 248 Olympic medals, including 17 at the Games in London in 2012.
