The Georgia Gwinnett College women’s and men’s soccer teams had a successful week in preparation for hosting the AII postseason tournament later this month. The GGC women started the week by taking a 1-0 double-overtime win at home against West Georgia. Mary Vernetti knocked in the game winner, moving the Grizzlies to 13-3-1 on the year.

He has played for Bayer Leverkusen, San Jose Earthquakes, Bayern Munich, and Everton. He usually plays as an attacking midfielder on the right wing or as a withdrawn forward. Clinton Drew "Clint" Dempsey /ˈdɛmpsi/ (born March 9, 1983) is an American soccer player who plays for Seattle Sounders FC in Major League Soccer and is the captain of the United States national team. Growing up in Nacogdoches, Texas, Dempsey played for one of the top youth soccer clubs in the state, the Dallas Texans, before playing for Furman University's men's soccer team.
